Top floor Cremorne apartment secured for first home buyer
▉ REGION: LOWER NORTH SHORE
▉ BUDGET: $1.5M
▉ CLIENT: FIRST HOME BUYER
The Brief
Our client was a first home buyer looking to secure a quality two bedroom apartment on Sydney’s Lower North Shore. The priority was finding a home that felt bright, private and spacious, with excellent natural light and no immediate renovation required. With a focus on long term liveability as well as making a sound first property purchase, we were selective about position, aspect, floorplan and the overall quality of the building.
The Strategy
We focused the search on tightly held pockets of the Lower North Shore where our client’s budget could secure a well positioned apartment without compromising on the fundamentals. Rather than simply targeting renovated properties, we prioritised apartments with attributes that are difficult to replicate, including top floor positions, strong natural light, privacy and windows across multiple aspects.
When identified a few months into the search, 5/6 Bannerman Street, Cremorne stood out. Positioned on the top floor with no common walls and windows on each side, the apartment offered exceptional natural light, cross ventilation and a level of privacy rarely found in comparable two bedroom apartments. Importantly, it was already beautifully presented and required no immediate renovation, allowing our client to move straight in.
The Outcome
We successfully secured 5/6 Bannerman Street for our client under her budget, delivering a first home that met the brief while also possessing several highly desirable and difficult to replicate attributes. The top floor position, absence of common walls and windows on multiple sides created the light filled and private environment our client had been searching for, while the move in ready condition meant there was no need to take on the additional cost and complexity of renovating.
For a first home purchase, it represented an excellent combination of lifestyle, quality and long term appeal in one of the Lower North Shore’s most established residential pockets.
